On May 9, Deborah Sweeney, Executive Vice Chancellor, Linda Taylor, Vice Chancellor and Vincent Cheung, Director of International Cooperation Program of the University of Western Sydney (UWS) visited our university. Vice President Zhang Hua met with the delegation, accompanied by relevant officials from the International Affairs Office and the School of Foreign Languages.
On behalf of USST, Mr. Zhang Hua extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the University of Western Sydney and expressed his gratitude to the University for its long-standing support to the cooperation between the two universities. He introduced the development of the university, its academic settings and research achievements, and focused on the achievements and experiences of the university in international education. He also expressed his willingness to cooperate with the university in personnel cultivation, education and research, and further deepen the cooperation between the two universities.
Subsequently, the two universities had an in-depth discussion on the content of cooperation and agreed on the direction of future cooperation. Both sides agreed that the meeting was a successful discussion and exchange of cooperation, which is of great significance to promote the development of education in both schools. The meeting not only enhanced the mutual understanding and friendship between the two universities, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation of Western Sydney University visited Hu Jiang International Culture Park and had a meeting with students of the English (Scientific and Technical Translation) major from the School of Foreign Languages. The students asked questions enthusiastically and the atmosphere was warm. The delegation of the University of Western Sydney highly appreciated the solid professional quality of our students and the strong humanist atmosphere of the campus, and expressed their expectation for further cooperation.
