On December 15, 2020, the British Cultural Centre held the NCUK open day at the lecture hall of NBCC. The full name of NCUK is the Northern Consortium, a consortium of leading universities dedicated to giving international students guaranteed access to universities worldwide, including many in the Russell Group. This time, we invited the representatives from University of Birmingham, the University of Bradford, the University of Huddersfield, Leeds Beckett University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Salford, and Liverpool John Moores University.
At the beginning of the event, through panel discussion, the representatives of the eight universities answered the students' questions one by one. Through the detailed explanation of each school's representative, students knew more about each universities' application requirements including grade points, and their teaching methods, characteristics. Our students also learned that studying abroad was not just for a certificate, but for a new attitude towards life.
Then, representatives of the eight universities showed videos and pictures to provide a further introduction of each school, such as geographical locations, school facilities, and tuition fees.
Through this event, students have deepened their understanding of further study in the UK and have received many useful information and suggestions. Hope everyone will step into their dream university for further study!
