Students from University take part in Japanese cultural exchange visit




   Organized by the Japanese culture center of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), 24 students went to Japan for short-term study on May 26th and returned on June 8th, having had a very successful visit.

 Not only had the students experienced Japanese culture, broadening their vision and horizon, as well as enhancing their Japanese, but also the activity had deepened the relationship between USST and universities and enterprises in Japan.

During the two weeks, the students had visited the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo University of Science, Waseda University and Keio University where they had extensive communication with the students there. They had a very positive experience of the culture, academic understanding and mutual understanding, as well as making friends. The group were received by several famous Japanese enterprises such as JEOL, KIKKOMAN, Mori Building Company and Shimizu Corporation, about which they got a thorough and direct understanding after visiting them. It is also

worth mentioning that the group had been granted the honor of visiting the Houses of Parliament in Tokyo and having a reception with Japan's current President of the senate, Mr. Chang Jiangtian.

In addition, after finishing their official programme, students also visited places of interest such as Mount Fuji, Asakusa Temple, Meiji Shrine and other sites.

Two weeks is a short time but the students have gained rich and colourful experiences in Japan. They have not only built deep friendship with students there, enhanced their language ability and know more information about studying abroad but also made a contribution to friendly communications between China and Japan.
